Accelerating change 01/04/2015

Lots of BIM and lots of striving for better data and collaboration for competence and a sprinkling of dark green bio-mimicary.

In the workshop with Richard Weston of RIBA Enterprises I mentioned some briefing documents

Energy efficiency best practice programme (EEBPP)
  • GPG 304 The Purchaser’s guide to energy efficient buildings for industry
    • Helps the development of the Client’s Brief with the questions that need to be asked to the design team.
    • November 2000
  • GPG 303 The Designer’s guide to energy efficient buildings for industry
    • Helps drive the design team by answering how to satisfy the questions in the Design Brief
    • December 2000
  • See right column for GBE Information links to dedicated pages

These only addresses a small segment of the Green issues: Energy, but they are a good approach for many other issues.
And they were published before our mainstream industry learned much about competent buildings, airtightness, appropriate materials for application, etc. if they have learned very much since then.
