Construction Sector Transparency (CoST) Initiative Jargon Buster
About:
We will be focusing around different perspectives of transparency in the Built Environment. We welcome Bob McKittrick, chairman of the UK Multi-Stakeholder Group of the Construction Sector Transparency Initiative (CoST) who will provide an insight into the benefits of transparency in Construction and share lessons learnt from the CoST initiative. This is aligned with the Coalition Government’s desire for greater transparency of public spending and has been endorsed by Infrastructure-UK (IUK) as part of the Government’s drive to save up to £3billion per year on the cost of delivering UK infrastructure by 2015. We will also feature roundtable discussion groups on Reputational Risk Management, Product Transparency, Supply Chain Management and Data Transparency.
Delegates will:
- Discover the lessons learnt from the Construction Sector Transparency Initiative (CoST) project.
- Understand the relationship between Transparency of Data (Building Information Modelling) and opportunities for Sustainable Building design and operation.
- Participate in two hands-on expert roundtables of their choice on Reputational Risk Management, Product Transparency, Supply Chain Management and Data Transparency.
- Experience a lively Pecha Kucha presentation showcase covering case studies around different aspects of Transparency in Buildings.
