The gap between the have yachts and have nots is getting wider. Worldwide, the 85 richest people own the same wealth as the 3.5 billion poorest people (aka, half the world). With climate change making matters worse for poor communities, it’s essential that whoever’s in government next acts quickly to rise to these huge challenges. And that’s where you come in…

85 people. It’s an astonishing statistic and a huge injustice, but it’s not about money. It’s about the fact that this is such a tiny number of people to hold so many of the world’s resources and influence the decisions that affect ordinary people’s lives. And the whole time the ‘have yachts’ are gaining power, more and more millions of ‘have nots’ are going without food, education and medical help. 

And then there’s climate change. It’s no surprise that the richest countries have the biggest carbon footprints – they’re responsible for 70% of historic carbon emissions. But the reality of climate change continues to hit the world’s poorest communities hardest, leading to poor harvests and food shortages. 

Please don’t wait – act now.
