Jo Robotham 1927-2015

I am very sorry that I bring sad news.
Jo Robotham has passed away at 88 years
RIBA Gold Medal winner for Key Theatre
Sadly the gold medal was burgled and the key theatre was spoiled by others.
I have just heard from Peter Slinger that the funeral is today (11/06/2015) at 12:00 at Peterborough Crematorium.
32 years ago we Peter Roberts, Peter Slinger, Mike Riley, Ron Quinn, Brian ‘Spud’ Murphy, Mike Peart, Ben Robotham, had some wonderful years working together with Jo, we thought we was older, his beard aged him, his youthful spirit always shone through. His April fools day pranks were mega.
It was lovely to hear Jo’s story and be reminded of his healthy disrespect for authority.
Jo’s landmarks: Key Theatre, Nene Housing Society and it’s and other’s Social Housing, St Judes Church.
Behind every great man is a great woman Ruth and Jo were responsible for making Key Theatre possible and establishing Nene Housing Society to create social housing.
I know Jo has all of our respects and he will be sadly missed.
