Building for Biodiversity Conference 2017 Event
About:
Thursday 9th November 2017
Perth Concert Hall, Perth, Scotland
Welcome
Tay Landscape Partnership (TayLP) are delighted to offer a one-day conference on 9th November 2017 to raise awareness of how important both rural and urban buildings are to the survival of key species like swifts, barn owls and bats.
We will explore cost effective ways to accommodate them, whilst avoiding delays to work, and complying with the law.
The event has been designed to appeal to professionals who plan, build, repair, maintain and manage buildings including:
- Building owners and managers
- Landowners and land managers
- Planners, designers and architects
- Developers, builders and contractors
- Timber treatment and pest control specialists
What you will take away:
- An understanding of the basic requirements of key species of wildlife and how to accommodate them during the planning, construction, renovation, repair and maintenance of buildings
- An understanding of the laws protecting key species and how to comply with them
Suggested simple, cost effective mitigation measures, which will help avoid delays to work.
