CAPEM EPD Cost Schedule
Environmental Product Declaration (EPD)
The EPD tariff comprises charges for the production of:
- A Product Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to ISO 14000 series standard
- B Production of an EPD from the LCA to ISO 14025 based on appropriate Product Category Rules (PCR)
- C Peer review and third party verification of the EPD
- D Production of the “GreenSpec” EPD document.
Charges will vary dependent on factors such as the availability of verifiable manufacturing data and the existence of Product Category Rules for the product type.
However most products will fall within three bands capped as follows:

| Band A | £6,500 | Appropriate for products where verifiable manufacturing data is readily available;
PCR are available for the category of product and verification is likely to be straightforward (or where an EPD exists but requires peer review to upgrade to ISO 14025). |
| Band B | £9,000 | Appropriate for products where verifiable manufacturing data is available but significant work is required to fill key gaps.
PCR are available for the category of product and verification is likely to be straightforward. |
| Band C | £11,500 | Appropriate for products where verifiable data is difficult to assemble and significant work is required to fill key gaps.
PCR are available for the category of product but verification is unlikely to be straightforward. |
| Unbanded | negotiable | Appropriate for products where verifiable manufacturing data is difficult to assemble and significant work is required to fill essential gaps
AND/OR PCR are not available and will require to be developed. AND/OR verification is unlikely to be straightforward. |
| Unbanded | negotiable | Mechanical, Electrical & Electronic services installations and equipment are much more complex and require detailed analysis to price an LCA and EPD service. |
Quantity discounts apply to more than one product from similar or the same materials or recipes.
Ongoing assessments
NB According to ISO 14025, each EPD will be valid for 3 years.
Our renewal costs will be based on the Band A tariff scale description.
