NGS REVIEW

NGS attended manufacturer’s presentions to Travis Perkins SBS Sustainable Building System committee, one on LightwaveRF (by then JSJS Designs PLC) stood out as an intelligent, smart, comprehensive, retrofit or new, low cost, partial or whole house and other buildings, monitoring metering and control system.
The benefits far outway the few small issues NGS found with it.
If I were a betting man I would have shares in this company, but I am not, so I won’t.
1.       Have you seen anything like this product before?
Lots of companies do parts, NGS have never seen such a comprehensive offering like this before
Brilliant
2.       What do you think of the product?
Presented well
Intelligent solutions to everyday problems
Potential for this to be effective is very strong indeed.

Excellent to see effort to offer a comprehensive package that is Architect and discerning customer friendly

Excellent to see inventing new versions of technology to fill technical quality chasms.
Excellent it offers a solution to so many problems
NGS love the simplicity of the on off function, I fear the setting of scenarios is a bit more complicated, but love the intelligence of the technology adopting actions from many places remembered to numerous control devices.
Some of the battery operated will continue to add to the toxic waste mountain, I do hope the rechargables in the future are compatible.
Excellent low energy demand in all the parts, but the broadband must be left on, and many red lights on ‘to find your way round the house’ ‘to find the switch’ adds up, that would bug NGS intensly.
NGS would like to see what the residual demand is of this whole system when everything is ‘off’, it will no doubt save energy and heat but uses a fair bit to do so.
3.       Is the product a must have?
No, not for NGS, we are happy that we can turn Broardband off and manually turn everything else off with two single switches, but very desirable for a lot of people.
NGS are glad that we can go to bed knowing the the only bits on are the fridge/freezer and electric and gas meters, nothing else.  And these days the smart meters, broadband, etc.
The heating controls will not work on my heating system pipework arrangement, pity.
Every Facilities Managers ideal christmas present, Univeristy, Hotels, Offices, etc.
4.       Is the product priced right, if not please state how much you would retail it at.
It sounds like it is.
5.       Would you go out and buy it today?
No, but if NGS was in the market to have a system NGS would probably choose this one
If asked NGS would defiantly promote it to others, on projects and on NGS website.
