GreenSpec CPD
- Between 2001 and 2015 GreenSpec CPD was almost entirely created and presented by BrianSpecMan
- then and now of National Green Specification
- author of Green Building Encyclopaedia
- creator of Green Building Calculator
- CPD creator, speaker and tour guide for Green Building Learning
GBE CPD and Lectures
- Over the past 25 years BrianSpecMan has created and presented over 1000 CPD seminars and over 50 University Lectures, some presented many times to different audiences.
- GBE CPDs are always created and presented by BrianSpecMan:
- Trained as technician, architect; self-taught specifier, environmentalist, writer and educator
- Has >45 years in construction >35 years in specification, >20 years in environmental, >12 in education
- Remains independent and able to be critical, but is always on the lookout for problem-solving solutions
- Always presenting many solutions including: Problem Solving materials, products and services
- GBE CPDs are not normally industry-sponsored nor building-product related, but can be:

GBE CPD Live
- BrianSpecMan’s live presentations are interactive with questions and answers welcome throughout
- Past regular presentation to a deaf audience member, the slides are text rich
- Past regular presentations to architects, the slides are image rich
- Live presentations go beyond the text or images on the slides
- Live presentations are more lively, enjoyable and memorable
- Live presentations will often be accompanied by samples and information circulation
- BrianSpecMan prides himself on presenting real stuff that can be acted upon tomorrow
GBE CPD Outreach
- BrianSpecMan presents all of GBE CPD to any audience anywhere in the UK or GB
- England, Wales, Scotland & NI (so far).
- Occasionally BrianSpecMan has presented beyond GB, in
- France, Germany, Holland, Belgium, Israel, so far.
- But BrianSpecMan declined a few:
- Russia: (they copyright infringed GreenSpec website in total),
- UAE: GreenSpec’s Sandy Patience was sent in his place.
GBE In-House CPD
- BrianSpecMan has presented to many design practices, contractors, local authorities and housing associations, universities, conferences, etc.
- GBE do not pay for nor provide buffet lunch.
- GBE do not provide printed handouts
- GBE can send a file in advance for the practice to print or put on their own websites or Intranets.
GBE Lockdown Zoom CPD Costs
- A charge is made for delivery time and where required preparation time
- Updating of slides before a presentation is at GBE expense always
- Presentations are mostly 45 minutes and 15 minutes Q&A or one hour including Q&A during
- £150 (e.g. Lunchtime or evening CPD with existing presentation file)
- £350 (e.g. Lunchtime CPD with new presentation file)
- Questions are welcome during and after

- A charge is made for travel and time; and exceptionally accommodation if journey time demands
- £150+Fares (e.g. Lunchtime in London+SE+EofE+EM+WM)
- £250+Fares (e.g. Lunchtime in SW, S Wales, NW, NE)
- £250+Fares (e.g. Eurostar to Lille, Paris, Brussels, Lunchtime, return in a day)
- £350+Fares +Accommodation (e.g. if over 5 hours rail distance or flights: SW, Scotland and Mid/N Wales)
- £350+Fares (e.g. Half day workshop London+SE+EofE+EM+WM)
- £500+Fares (e.g. Whole day workshop London+SE+EofE+EM+WM)
GBE CPD Download PDF
GBE CPD & GBE Lectures
- For 6 years 300 GBE CPD and other files had been available to download from Scribd website, with over 267,000 reads (2009 up to April 2014, then counter reset) it is clear that there is a demand for these files, so now we are moving them onto GBE website.
- This website will be delivering PDF versions of its many CPD papers to enable individuals to read on line or download and read files in their own time, some are free and others not, they will be very low cost to encourage many to download, read, learn and change habits.
- Whilst being low cost the revenue created will allow GBE time to convert more and upload them for your access and re-education.
GBE CPD & Lecture PowerPoint files
- GBE CDP and GBE Lectures files as PDFs all lack the slides-builds including diagram’s stepped assemblies
- Lecturers and CPD organisers may wish to use the original PowerPoint files for a more useful presentation
- These files can be very large and may need to be provided via DropBox.
- Some are already in GBE Shop and subject to a fee of £8.88 (for the ability to edit and for one Public Presentation)

- (avoid printing many coloured A4 Sheets)
- File names with Sx added = S = Show and x = number of slides
- Printing and reading handouts can also be downloaded.
- File names with 9Hx added = 9 slides per page Handouts and x = number of pages

GBE CPD Certificates
- Whilst GBE CPD seminars are not formally certified by RIBA or other CPD providers.
- GBE can provide a GBE CPD Certificate as evidence of attendance at an in-house CPD.
- A template file can be provided for CPD organisers to generate personalised certificates for delegates.
