About:
Definition:
8 DIGIT CODE
- BRE’s Green Guide to Specification adopts 1600 elemental assemblies and assesses their LCA, each one gets a unique code number that is 8 digits long.
- Each element is given a different rating depending upon the building use class, so the unique code number means different things in different places, which is confusing, very unhelpful and potentially erroneous.
- BRE will not give permission to 3rd parties to use the codes to enable cross referencing between information sources, contrary to CPI principles promoted by BRE, displaying a profound lack of joined up thinking.
