GBC Building Type Analysis Collaborate

• GBC are offering a Consultancy Service to Building Designers/Developers
• To analyse a Building Project
• To analyse a Building Type
• The intention is to develop a low cost way into Environmental design and Specification
• Improves on some aspects of BREEAM and its use of Green Guide to Specification, to avoid the greenwash
• Real calculations for real buildings, using real materials and real products with real environmental impacts.

Initial Enquiry Form:

After collecting the Organisation’s contact details GBC needs an outline or detailed specification and a set of drawings.

Building Type Analysis

• Then using the information GBC will populate Green Building Calculator with the proposed building:
• Drawn Information becomes dimensions and quantities

• Outline Specification becomes components of elements with materials and product choices

• Target U values will inform the calculations

•

  GBC will calculate the elemental assembly’s U values to the Summary Sheets

Design and Specification Review

• GBC will ask Questions for the Organisation to Answers
• Example shown below 5 No. A4 pages
• Suggestions will be made to improve the building performance
• Materials choices, insulation thicknesses, problem details, airtightness, products, etc.
